How To Secure Blogger Blog From Hackers

As the blogging is being popular these days and rapidly growing, in other hand, hacking is also touching the highest top. In previous hackers used to hack computers, social accounts, bank accounts but now websites, blogs and forums are also being hacked. In case, webmasters are being worried that they might become the next victim of hackers and everyone is trying making their web secure more and more. Do you also have any blog that is hosted on Blogger specially? Have you thought about securing your blog? Man! Do something before you get late! Well, don't worry here we're going to discuss about some tips that will help you to secure your blogger blogs from hackers.

Is It Possible To Get Blogger Blog Hacked?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that it is possible to hack blogger blog but not everyone can do it. Even the word "Impossible" says that "I'm Possible", mind it! Just suppose what ? "Suppose" that anyone of your family member wants to hack your blog and he/she can easily access to your blog. Whether you set any difficult password or even enable 2nd step verification, it can be hacked! Trust is something that will let your blog get hacked. That family member who is thinking to hack your blog can borrow your phone for any reason (actual reason to hack your blog, he/she may lie) and can easily recover password through your phone. There can also be other ways to hack blogger blog but below tips will surely help you to protect your blog.

1. Make Strong Password

The first and well known thing is password! I'll say the same that everyone tries to say that you should set an strong password on your Google account. Strong password means such password which doesn't contains your name, phone number, common thing names, someone's name. Other than this, such password that contains small alphabet letters and also capital alphabet letters, some numbers, signs and also symbols. In short, that can be any unmemorable code but you'll need to memorize it hardly. After this also try to make the password long at least more than 8 characters. After setting the password, don't open your account from public computers but if emergency, try to use private window in browser.

2. Malicious Scripts in Widgets and Templates

Second tip is that there can be any malicious and malware script in any widget or template. You can easily analyze your blog for such scripts through popular free tools. However, Blogger platform itself also detects the malicious scripts and also deletes the blog without permission but you should take step in analyzing your blog. If found, remove that script or you should change the design and try to use clean and fresh template for your blog. Such scripts can also help hackers to gather information about your blog and try to hack it. So, keep attention always while playing with scripts.

3. Always Sign in and Sign Out With Carefully

This can be the worst habit of any blogger that we do not sign in and sign out carefully. Some people sign in to their accounts and while entering password they type password with naked buttons while the other people that are with them can catch the password so we should be careful while typing password and no one should see the password. Secondly, some people just usually forget to sign out from their accounts and some also don't sign out self knowing. The reason they think that there is no access to the device that they're using but for that your device must be protect with strong password.

4. Use 2nd-Step Verification - Most Important

This is the most important thing you should do it immediately and right now! 2nd-Step verification is a great service provided by Google to protect all Google accounts. In order to setup 2nd-step verification, you'll need cell phone which's mobile number you've to attach with your Google account. You can do it from account settings. After adding mobile number, you can open security settings and there be will 2nd-step verification option. Just go there and enable that but it may send confirmation code to your mobile via sms that you can use to confirm for enabling 2nd-step verification.

Now the interesting thing is here that whenever you'll login to your account, 2nd-step verification comes, it automatically sends verification code to your mobile via sms that you've to type and verify otherwise you can't access your account even if you've entered correct email and password. Don't worry about being annoyed because 2nd-step verification has an option to set "Don't ask for codes again on this device" that you can use to do not get annoyed. Now, this 2nd-step verification only comes when you'll login from any unknown device or even clear your cookies and history because it uses cookies to identify protected devices.

5. Use All Recovery Methods - Important

This point is also important in which we should use all recovery methods of Google account. Even if our blog got hacked than we must have some ways to get that back and recovery methods are only things for that. There are several recovery methods that we can use. First, try to attach all of your mobile numbers with your Google account and also setup alternative mobile number when current mobile number is not available for 2nd-step verification so that you may not get stuck. After setting up mobile numbers, also attach your email addresses with your Google account so that you may also recover your account with email addresses. After this, security questions are also useful to recover account so don't forget to use them.
